LOOKING AFTER OUR PEOPLE

Customers quickly get a sense of the kind of employees we have and what our business is all about. We hold the belief that our team’s attitudes define who we are and what we do. By recognizing and cultivating their individual skills and fostering a workplace culture that everyone wants to be a part of, we attract the best ideas from them.

Between May and June 2019, Investors in People conducted an audit of our business through face-to-face interviews with a select group of 12 employees and anonymous online assessments completed by all of our employees. The investigator looked at our workplace culture and observed how our teams interacted while they were at our factory and on-site. We received a Gold Award from Investors in People, bringing our Silver Award, which we have held for a few years, up to date. The award recognized us as an innovative and forward-thinking employer and was an outstanding achievement.

The combination of Accoya and Teknos is a match made in heaven. Accoya was subjected to a comprehensive paint experiment by independent testers in the Netherlands, which resulted in improved coating performance and adhesion in both wet and dry conditions.

Black paint was even used in some experiments, despite its bad reputation for peeling and cracking when exposed to sunlight. If you give the surfaces of your orangery or garden room a gentle wash twice a year, you won’t need to paint it again for at least 12 years.

Overall, Accoya outperforms tropical hardwoods in terms of durability, making it an excellent choice for garden room extensions. The timber structure will not sag or bend because of its dimensional stability. Doors and windows never become stuck in warmer weather, and joints remain tight.

Although Accoya is a more expensive material, it has a lower lifetime cost than PVC, aluminum, pine, and hardwood, requires less upkeep, and has a longer lifespan. If you use Accoya and Teknos together, your garden room won’t need to be replaced for at least 50 years.
